Sounds like a Cheesy movie

Meghan Brown had fired her pink .38-caliber handgun only inside a shooting range. Even there, she said, she wasn’t very good.

The 2009 Miss Tierra Verde, 25 and a slender brunet, had trouble pulling back the trigger. When she did manage, she said she almost never hit the target.

That Saturday was different.

A man barged into her home, attacking her and beating her fiance. Adrenaline pumping, she fetched the gun from her bedroom. She trained it on the man, following his movements as he tussled with her fiance.

She saw an opening. She pulled the trigger. Pop. Pop. Pop. Pop.

Albert F. Hill, 42, never got up.

Allow me to put on my cheesy 80’s T&A thriller movie hat for a second.

Plot) Hot beauty queen marries rich nerd for the money, her mistake is she married a "young" nerd for his money.

act 1) Wanting out but not wanting to give up the money she starts to cheat on him, to avoid "friends" she goes far out of her way to meet new men, in a rundown bar she meets "Al", they engage in a passionate affair over the next 3 months until Al ask her to marry him

act 2) She leaves not wanting to tell him she's married, but soon Al begins to follows her and discovers the truth

act 3) She and Al reignite their affair but he wants her to himself, she convinces him to kill her husband so they can be together with his money

act 4) The plan is for her to buy a gun, learn to use it in secret but to tell everyone she's really bad at it, then Al was to attack them at night and she was to kill her husband, "by mistake" while the "Burglar" got away, but she couldn't find her glasses and shot Al instead. Husband finds evidence on Al's body suggesting that Al and his wife were together on this plot, he hides this from the police.

Movie end with reporters lapping up the brave damsel in distress story and taking photos of the couple at their home.

Fade to black)

It explains the look on his face doesn't it?
