Scum takes away one of the good ones

A Salvation Army worker was shot and killed Christmas Eve in front of his three young children by a man who attempted to rob him outside the charity's community center in North Little Rock, a Salvation Army

This man most likely would have given more than the thieves could have taken had they made any effort towards improving their lives. Now 3 young children rescued from a bad situation just a year ago face a new challenge, a loving wife  left to bring these children thru this while struggling with her own loss. And two men who abandoned their own lives to drug or alcohol or just plain madness discarded any chance to return to society for the hope of getting a few dollars they didn’t earn.

Merry Christmas

Christmas Card 2009 from FLIMEMA on Vimeo.

Last year a war started

An unprovoked war was announced one year ago today by the aggressors in that war. It really wasn’t the start of the war, cross border raids and bombing had been going on for decades. One side had even been forced to withdraw civilians because they could no longer protect them years ago. yet the war continued. then one year ago to day Hamas announced operation “Oil Stain”

The military wing affiliated to Hamas, Al-Qassam Brigades released a statement on Thursday morning briefing the group's military activities over the first twenty four hours of an operation they called "Oil Stain" which started Wednesday morning

According to the statement, a total of 87 shells have been fired at Israeli targets bordering the Gaza Strip including 54 mortar shells, 31 homemade projectiles which Hamas calls "Qassam", and two Soviet-made Grad missiles.

Reminder: 31 Un-aimed rockets fired into towns would be considered a war crime if Israel did it.

When Operation Cast Lead began just 2 days later the world rallied to defend the victimsHamas?

Gaza’s tunnel rats

The far left “rights group” B’Tselem has an essay by a 17 year old boy living in Rafah. Young Imad is working to support his family, 10 in all, in the smuggling tunnels running under the Egyptian Border.

Lets break out the tiny violin for this teenage weapon smuggler

Everything comes in through the tunnels: biscuits, chocolate, refrigerators, washing machines, stoves, kitchen utensils, cigarettes, sheep, cattle, milk, clothes, wood, aluminum, auto spare parts, lighting products, electronic equipment, cheese, boxes of candies, air-conditioners, pipes, plastics, and other things. Cement also comes in through the tunnels, but not in large quantities because it is heavy and hard to move. The cement is poor quality and suitable only for repairs and renovation work.

The tunnels are there to get weapons past the boarder, the Qassam rockets are made from smuggled parts, they are used to attack civilian targets, this child is engaged in an action that is a war crime.

Here are some pictures of stuff not smuggled in the tunnels from Elder of Zion.

 0911261326181QDh 09112613274140d0

When the tunnel collapses during the day, the Egyptian soldiers can catch me and degrade and beat me. About a year ago, they caught me when the tunnel collapsed and I got out on the Egyptian side. They jailed me for a few days and treated me poorly, even though I was young.

He should know he’s done this for more than 2 years.

The Israeli planes bomb the tunnels every time a rocket is fired from the area at Israel. The bombs destroy the tunnels and kill and injure people working in them. Lots of times, the Egyptians tell the National Security forces, which belong to Hamas, that a bombing attack is expected. We get out and then go back to work after the bombing. Sometimes, they bomb the tunnel and a few hours later, after the workers have gone back to work, bomb again, and there are dead or injured.

So Israel tells Egypt they need to act and Egypt tells Hamas. Welcome to warfare in the “enlightened age” ever wonder why there are no more short wars?

The Crisis of my life time

Two covers from Time Magazine covering the crisis of global cooling when I was growing up 1979 and 1977. I was 15 and 17 I remember this well

time_cooling1 time_cooling2

It seems all of the pollution that the car and factories were putting out were somehow reflecting the suns rays back into space and we were going to all freeze. The science was settled and we had to act now or it would be too late.

I think someone wants to scare us into new taxes.

That and how we will never win the cold war

Inside the Greenhouse: Fail

If a picture was needed to describe failure this would be the one you would use…

The world covered in snow while leaders inside fail to reach agreement to prevent Global Warming.

And just one more example of Obama’s “Smart Power”

The lacklustre speech proved a huge frustration to a summit that had been looking to Obama to use his stature on the world stage – and his special following among African leaders – to try to come to an ambitious deal.

The King of Horror has a heart

Steven King is giving 12,999+1$ to help Maine's National Guard troops get home for Christmas

King and his wife, Tabitha, who live in Bangor, are paying $13,000 toward the cost of two bus trips so that members of the 3rd Battalion, 172nd Infantry Unit can travel from Camp Atterbury in Indiana to Maine for Christmas. The soldiers left Maine last week for training at Camp Atterbury. They are scheduled to depart for Afghanistan in January.

So why the 12,999+1?

But Stephen King thought the number 13 was a bit unlucky, so the couple pitched in $12,999 instead. Eugley (one of King's personal assistants) chipped in $1 to make for an even $13,000.

I read everything I could get from him in the 80’s but then his writing became too much like a book mill, it seemed he was just writing for the dollar and they weren’t fun to read anymore. May be after I’m finished with the Sword of Truth series I’ll pick up one of his and see if he snapped out of it.

A Good Wife:

Jack and Frances are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
Jack says to Frances, "Frances, I was wondering ... have you ever cheated on me?"
Frances replies, "Oh Jack, why would you ask such a question now? You don't want to ask that question."
"Yes, Frances, I really want to know. Please..."
"Well, all right. Yes, 3 times..."
"Three? Well, when were they?" he asked.
"Well, Jack, remember when you were 35 years old, and you really wanted to start the business on your own, and no bank would give you a loan? Remember, then one day the bank president himself came over the house and signed the loan papers, no questions asked?"

"Oh, Frances, you did that for me! I respect you even more than ever, to do such a thing for me. So, when was number two?"

"Well, Jack, remember when you had that last heart attack, and you were needing that very tricky operation, and no surgeon would touch you? Then remember how Dr. DeBakey came all the way up here, to do the surgery himself, and then you were in good shape again?"

"I can't believe it Frances, that you should do such a thing for me, to save my life. I couldn't have a more wonderful wife. To do such a thing, you must really love me darling. I couldn't be more moved."

" So, all right then, when was number three?"

"Well, Jack, remember a few years ago, when you really wanted to be president of the golf club, but you were 17 votes short..?"

Who knew?

That the “mile high club” was one you could be born into.

I’d never guess

Ok maybe I would have guessed, what’s shocking is that The President, with all his staff and experts, could not have figured this one out before they announced the trials and then attacked anyone who tried to tell us this would happen.

A lawyer for one of five men facing trial for the Sept. 11 attacks says the men plan to plead not guilty and use the trial to express their political views

What ever happened to “Never Again”?

Woof woof

A strange fish washed ashore in Alaska

BARROW, Alaska (AP) - Charles Maasak Brower was heading out to do some seal and caribou hunting with his sons when they stumbled upon a beach find that has nearly everyone stumped.

Brower and his four sons came across what biologists believe is a wolffish, a species known to live in arctic waters and the Bering Sea.

But figuring out that much required biologists to send photos and descriptions to other biologists at schools throughout Alaska, Canada and Washington state.

It's become a major discussion point in Barrow, where no one can remember ever seeing a wolffish before.

A wolffish I looked it up, it’s ugly

The wolf fish is easy to recognize. It has a long dorsal fin from its neck and backwards. The jaws are powerful with several rows of thick teeth. Its mouth is fit for crushing things and its favorite food is sea urchin. It can easily crush a human hand, so be careful handling the catch. The wolf fish is also feeding on crabs, shells and sea snails. In Norway this fish is called "grÄsteinbit", meaning; grey-stone-bite. The skin is non colored, but has striped patterns in shades of grey. The skin is so thick that it is suitable for preparation, then used as leather. The wolf fish may look like a cat due to the shape of its head and its eyes. Therefore it is also called catfish. It spawns during the winter months.

Time to pay the piper

Treasonous lawyer Lynne Stewart went to jail today to serve at least 28 months for aiding communications between the blind Sheikh, Omar Abdel-Rahman responsible for planning the February 1993 bombing on the world trade center, and other international terrorist groups. She may serve more time as the appeals court asked that her sentence be reconsidered in light of the fact that she lied under oath.

Lynne Stewart

ANSWER is supporting this woman Scum Sucking Vermin. World Can’t Wait calls her “the peoples lawyer” Commie code for “one of us” and America bashers of all strips rally to her cause. You would think that at some point they would say “Yea maybe she shouldn’t have been passing notes to help a terrorist mastermind rally his troops”  instead this is what ANSWER had to say in an e-mail titled “Free Lynne Steward!”

Her indictment was an outrage. So too was her conviction. The fact that this seventy year old veteran civil rights attorney has been sent to prison is a crime itself. She is serving a 28 month sentence although the Court of Appeals has remanded her case back to the original trial court with the hope that her sentence will be lengthened. The Bush Justice Department had sought a 30 year sentence.

Steward claims in the e-mail (via a Democracy Now interview) that this is over a press release she made on behalf of “her client” concerning a defunct organization… Yea right!

ANSWER gives us her address, why anyone would want to write her is beyond me, but if you want to go for it.

440 congressional districts received 6.4 billion$ in stimulus money and created almost 30,000 new jobs. They had to be new jobs because none of these districts exist. In fact there are 5 more Phantom districts receiving stimulus money than real ones.

If you support amnesty you support a racist policy one that disenfranchises people who wish to abide by our laws while at the same time allowing the continued exploitation of immigrant workers.

The people at ANSWER know this, they only wish to use this issue for their own gains thereby participating in the racism they claim to abhor. Enslaving people of color to the oppression of entitlement.

To honor Honor

A new Medal of Honor Monument was dedicated today at The University of Washington in Seattle

The UW will dedicate a memorial to military veterans, specifically the seven UW alumni who have received the Congressional Medal of Honor. The memorial will be built in the traffic circle at the south end of Memorial Way, north of the main UW flagpole and east of Parrington Hall

Mac’s a Racist

Yes I’ll say it… Mac’s a racist!

The professor, who isCensor bar , had been engaged in a fiery discussion about "white privilege" with Davis, who is Censor bar , and another male regular, who is also Censor bar , Friday night at 10:30 when fists started flying, patrons said.

McIntyre, who is known as "Mac" at the bar, shoved Davis, and when the other patron and a bar employee tried to break it up, the prof slugged Davis in the face, witnesses said.

"The punch was so loud, the kitchen workers in the back heard it over all the noise," bar back Richie Velez, 28, told The Post. "I was on my way over when he punched Camille and she fell on top of me."

McIntyre is a professor at Columba college. Remember the Minutemen? I wonder what will happen to a professor who turns to violence to defends the party line and condemn “white privilege”. Is this hate, or is it the justified outrage of the oppressed?

Step by step

Years ago when schools first offered sex ed people of faith warned that this was an attempt to overrule parents and inject all forms of sexuality into the mainstream by introducing children into a sexual morality of anything goes there by bringing this  morality to all of society. These people were ridiculed and called intolerant, we were told that children needed to know what to expect when the “moment” came, so they needed to learn the basics. To placate the objectors they gave them an opt out clause. Then the lessons started to involve more than the basics because we had to protect the children from the diseases that are out there so children learned to put condoms on bananas because we all know that no one has ever lived who didn’t have sex in high school and you have to protect them. To placate the objectors they gave them an opt out clause. Then they started to teach the children about alternative sexuality because hate is bad and understanding undermines hate, so they learned Gay is normal, and bi is good, and multiple partners is for everybody, and if you get married then you’ve got to give up all the fun sex stuff. But now this is about hate so parents were not allowed to opt out

(Court ruling) The course is mandatory, which many parents disagree to. The state board had explained that although parents do have rights to their children’s upbringing, that “right is not absolute.”

And now at last the thing we warned you about all those years ago

Those whose religious or moral values prevent them from attending will be classed as truants and may be punished by the school. Until now parents could opt out of lessons about contraception, sexually transmitted diseases and homosexuality until their children were 19.

About That Coming Change

No, no not “that change” this change

I don’t really care how time is reckoned so long as there is some agreement about it, but I object to being told that I am saving daylight when my reason tells me that I am doing nothing of the kind. I even object to the implication that I am wasting something valuable if I stay in bed after the sun has risen. As an admirer of moonlight I resent the bossy insistence of those who want to reduce my time for enjoying it. At the back of the Daylight Saving scheme I detect the bony, blue-fingered hand of Puritanism, eager to push people into bed earlier, and get them up earlier, to make the healthy wealthy and wise in spite of themselves.”

Robertson Davies, The Diary of Samuel Marchbanks,
