Ok I get about 5 or 6 emails from the Obama campaign every week and almost everyone ask for a donation to fight some evil that the republicans are planing or the help spread the word that McCain is George Bush in an old man suit. So imagine my surprise when the first line of the latest plea was...

I've never asked you to make a donation before.
Well I checked, and of the many Obama e-mails I have, 11 are from Jon Carson and every e-mail ends like this,

National Field Director (or National Voter Contact Director in earlier e-mails)
Obama for America
So while he hasn't out right "asked" me for a donation he has in fact asked me to donate.
