Inside the Green House: Get that SUV out of the garage

It looks like global warming may take a breather for a decade or so.

Parts of North America and Europe may cool naturally over the next decade, as shifting ocean currents temporarily blunt the global-warming effect caused by mankind,

So, Drive that SUV and don't pay any attention to the thermometer behind the curtain.

Scientists debate how much carbon can be pumped into the atmosphere before the effects of climate change, including SUV droughts, floods and reduced fresh water supplies, become irreversible. For every 1 million molecules in the atmosphere, about 384 are carbon dioxide, according to NOAA.

The levels to prevent global warming are between 350 and 400 ppm. Please note that the above listed disasters have happened and will happen forever. Until the sun expands in it's death throes and envelopes the earth, ending the debate.

The day the Sprit of '76 was reborn

At a Dodgers game of all places, but then again baseball is the all-American sport.

One of the top 100 plays of all times, officially.

In the Philippines, a man showed up with a problem

In the Philippines, a man showed up with... a problem...

A six-inch canister had been inserted in his rectum.

3220

Unfortunately that wasn't the end of his problems.

As the item was removed, one nurse shouted "baby out". The object turned out to be a canister of body spray. The surgeon removed the cap and appears to spray the contents toward the other doctors and nurses to more laughter.

I hope the guy was passed out both when it was going in and coming out.

Sorry, I couldn't help it.

Free speech cost 23,000$ in France

A leading French anti-racism group known as MRAP filed suit last year over a letter that Bardot sent to then-Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy, and which was published in her foundation's quarterly journal.

In the letter to Sarkozy, now the president, Bardot accused France's Muslim population of destroying France, and complained about the Muslim feast of Eid al-Adha.

Now I don't really know if Bridget is a racist or if her radical animal rights positions leads her to decry the ritualistic killing of sheep for a Muslim feast, or if she really does fear that a radical Muslim effort to impose shria is taking place.  But the thought that you could be sued for expressing your thoughts in a letter should scare all who respect free speech.

This isn't the first time.

Why do these words scare me so?

“They’re in discussions,” a source close to Carter reportedly told the newspaper. “Carter has been talking to Gore. They will act, possibly together, or in sequence.”

file000 Two of the worst political leaders of my lifetime teaming up to try to get the wife of the 3rd to quit to make way for what could be the start of the new American Socialist Union. I guess the Hillary surge isn't working, if this wasn't so full of irony, I would be worried. Even the MSN can't be taking this seriously, can they?

I've just been itching for a story to go with this picture.

So where have I been, working 55-60 hour weeks that's where. So I am sorry, and it is too bad because of all the extra traffic I had with my post about the anti-war/pro-troops rallies, I really could have earned me some new readers.
