Happy Easter, The victory of Life over death!
For the last few months the left has been engaging in an all out assault on the Seattle PD,
However over the last few weeks some have gathered to show our Defenders in Blue They are truly appreciated.
I was at last able to make it to a rally and join them at Seattle’s North Precinct.
There were those who believe that our Police are “Good Cops”
And those who believe our police are “Bad Cops”
Thank God For our Police who protect all of us. Who do a difficult job under difficult circumstances with great professionalism and with great courage.
Be sure to visit my Flickr page for more picture and check back tomorrow, after work, for the video.
Update: Video is ready (sorry I took so long)
Some thoughts on what a lifetime of paying taxes has purchased from staghound
You know what it bought?
Not once did I hear the march of an occupying army.
Never was I (when at home) more than an hour away from fire fighters or police officers who would protect me, even at the risk of their own lives.
And ambulance drivers and doctors who would have treated me, without first questioning whether I could pay.
I never saw servants of my government turn me out of my house or take my property without lots of chances to legally protect my rights.
Blue lights in the mirror never meant extortion or a beating.
If my government turns tyrannical, I can use the same tools for defense against it that I can use to defend myself from private predators.
I work in government, and have never been asked to do something wrong.
Power companies trust enough in the courts and laws that they will give me electricity on demand and on credit.
I can go to a library and get any book ever written for the price of a sandwich, if I can't get it on the government internet in my own house.
If I can't work, I might live rough, but I will never starve to death.
I've never faced conscription. No warlords. No ethnic cleansing. No streams of refugees. No vanished friends.
No midnight knocks on the door for opinions or religion or race, not for me or anyone I knew.
No running and hiding when governments change.
For most of my life, and maybe still, nuclear weapons were pointed AT MY HOUSE and they never went off.
I spent my taxes on exemption from the ordinary, natural state of mankind.
Deal.
Those who say we in the Tea Party don’t like government don’t understand the roll of Good Government.
Well not always.
Imagine if you were her parents and they called to tell you your daughter was in the hospital after receiving an invasive medical procedure you knew nothing about.
The woman who posted this video actually said that it showed the anti-Tea Party protesters “…behaved, smiling, peacefully chanting not yelling, screaming, swearing”
Her other videos show two people one who seems to me to have been mocking the Tea Party and the other who was rude to a group who had mingled within the Tea Party,
They really work, just look at the results

Yesterday Southwest flight 812 from Phoenix to Sacramento was forced to make an emergency landing in Yuma.
This is the best first hand account I’ve read. The link has some interesting photos
How do you convey "I might die in a few minutes and I love you so much my heart aches at the thought of never seeing you again" without freaking someone the hell out? I'll let you know if I figure it out.
She writes more on her blog about the aftermath.
During the flight, people remained remarkably calm. I watched a young man get up and help others with their masks. People shared their chewing gum with others to help with the ear popping. We talked. We joked. On the ground, we cheered for our captain. We hugged each other. I'm pretty sure I cried a little.
and on twitter of her new found fame..
Yes, about 13 minutes left of my 15.
I have a bit of a connection to Southwest in that my mother used to work for the company that does maintenance on their planes and one of my friends has worked for them as a flight attendant for many years, my thoughts are always of her when I see stories like this.
