Inside the Green House: Shoulda seen it coming

A wind farm where there is no wind? Who would do that and why? The government silly

They say farms are being built in the "wrong places" because of the pressure to hit Government targets in the race to produce green energy.

Well It had to happen someday

Is this the end of Marriage?
Regarding whether rights for a husband and wife can be eliminated by the California legislature, Schwarzenegger wrote that "except for the ability to choose and declare one's life partner in a reciprocal commitment of mutual support, any of the statutory rights and obligations that are afforded to married couples in California could be abrogated or eliminated by the legislature or the electorate for any rational legislative purpose."
Why is this important? It is the foundation of humanity, everybody's social stability, Every tribe, every nation, every people. Marriage is so central to human nature it is universal. Yet somehow, by some twist of intellect the left has seen fit to change us. This is the plan, the undermining of the social order and marriage is a key component.
Engels describes monogamous marriage as a social institution designed for two main functions. First, monogamous marriage ensured wealth was passed down to biologically related offspring. Second, monogamous marriage trapped women in a life of unpaid domestic and childrearing labor. Engels believed the communist revolution would undermine both of these functions. A communist society would no longer allow wealth to be passed down to biological offspring, and a communist society would socialize the work of raising children. Monogamous marriage would no longer serve any purpose in communist society.

While I was at work

Well I didn't have $1,000 anyway, but I would have loved to get the anti's all riled up.
America must "stay on the offense" against its enemies abroad, President Bush said Monday during a campaign fundraiser for Rep. Dave Reichert
The President also received a gift.
Bush also received a number "43" Seahawks jersey from quarterback Matt Hasselbeck. Bush is the 43rd president.

Mansour the lying pig

Is OBL alive?
"All praise be to Allah, he is extremely healthy and active," the commander Mansour Dadullah said in a video interview, according to a transcript of the video's English subtitled translation, released Tuesday by the analyst IntelCenter.

I'm not so sure

Not heard from in over a year, not seen for even longer. A man who wants to see us die yet can not muster the courage to stand in front of a video camera. I say if he his alive he is gravely ill, it would be a good reason for Al-Qaeda failures to strike back, in spite of promise after promise.

Was this the last time OBL was seen alive?

Closer and closer

I've been worried about a wider war in the middle east for a few years as both Iran and Syria make noise. With Iran directly attacking US and Iraqi forces and Syria moving troops towards the Golan Heights and making new claims of ownership of the strategic hills once used to shell Israeli towns and villages.

I don't think going to war with these two nations is unavoidable but it is increasingly becoming the only way to win the War on Terror.

We don't execute people for that

Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia isn’t known for mincing words on the Senate floor. Still, even by his standards, his recent comments about a crime in the news were especially impassioned.
He repeatedly called the alleged crime “barbaric” and even volunteered to attend the execution of the accused.

Someone should let Robert Bird know that we do not execute people for dog fighting. all though I agree that some of the hottest places in hell are making room for mister Vick and his friends right now
."I am confident that the hottest places in hell are reserved for sick and brutal people who hold God’s creatures in such brutal and cruel contempt."

Update: It took me a while to find the actual speech given on the senate floor.
Let me say Madame President I have seen in my lifetime one individual electrocuted in the electric chair in my time, in my time, in my time. It's not a, it's not a beautiful spectacle. But I can say, I could witness another one, if it witnesses--if it involves this cruel, sadistic, cannibalistic, business of training innocent, vulnerable creatures to kill
The Senators website omits the part about watching an execution. and to be fair to the senator it is clear that he was talking in general about the people who engage in the crime of dog fighting, He was not calling for Michael Vick to be executed.

Another step closer to tyranny

So for those who think Hugo Chavez is just a good Democrat looking to help the poor people of his nation, It's time for another lesson on "How to take over a nation"
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, ...proposed several changes to his nation's constitution, including a measure to eliminate term limits.
So some of us say this is Chavez's latest attempt consolidate control, but the Venezuelan President has these reassuring words
."If anyone is going to say this is a project to enthrone oneself, no," Chavez said before the National Assembly. "This is only a possibility, a possibility that depends on many variables."
What may some of these "variables" be?
Venezuelans attempted to recall Chavez. But Venezuela's Election Commission, which had been appointed by Chavez, ruled that it did not have enough votes to oust the president.
Chavez told the National Assembly Wednesday that he was proposing "political, social, economic, military and territorial changes" to the constitution, according to TeleSur, a government television station.
expanding the government's ability to seize privately owned land.
"to begin another chapter in this process of constructing a socialist nation."
shutting down the television stations that are critical of his regime or packing the court with his cronies
He has packed Congress and the Supreme Court with his supporters," Boaz wrote. "He has installed his military officers in all levels of government.
He is trying to end the autonomy of the Central Bank, nationalize major industries, abolish constitutional limits on presidential tenure, and perhaps most clearly, get his followers in Congress to give him the power to rule by decree,"
This looks like a takeover to me.

Nanny state

You think that the government will stop after you let them have a little power... Just try smoking in your car.
"I am just seeking every opportunity I can to denormalize smoking and to try to put it out of the reach of kids," Mr. Gennaro said.
This is just one of many new laws that put the city state of New York into the everyday lives of it's people.
If enacted, smoking in cars with riders under the age of 18 would join a growing list of activities barred by the city, including making too much noise at night, serving trans fats in restaurants, and allowing students to carry cell phones in school.
Each and every one of these laws passed on the "promise" that it was for the good of the people. And each and every one restricts personal freedoms and choices.
In Rockland County, which in June approved a measure to ban smoking in cars with minors, critics called the law an invasion of privacy and a violation of personal liberties. Mr. Gennaro dismissed those arguments.
"Boo-hoo," he said. "You can't subject kids to 43 carcinogens and 250 poisonous chemicals and claim privacy. Get over it. Their right to privacy doesn't extend so far as to poisoning kids."
Now whats the big deal?
Smoking bans are a symptom of a greater problem with our government, that they can come in and regulate all kinds of lifestyle choices because they've deemed it improper," she said. "It could be anything."
"If they can come into our car, then they can come into our home," she said. "And everybody should be afraid of this, not just because of smoking."

Is anything sacred anymore?

Come on now! Taking away balloons from clowns, that is just going too far!!!
Barney Baloney said he was told by bosses at a supermarket where he was booked to appear that he should leave his balloons at home because of the potential for allergic reactions

The 47-year-old entertainer, also known as Tony Turner, has previously had to ditch his bubble-making machine because he could not get public liability insurance as companies assessed that youngsters might slip and hurt themselves.
Clowns are smart.
"This country is going crazy with its political correctness and health and safety issues and it's making us a laughing stock."

I'm not runk dofficer.

Well if you have 400k to throw away this is one way to do it.

A Central Florida man who crashed his new $400,000 Lamborghini only hours after getting behind the wheel has been charged with drunken driving, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

I've heard this one before

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not tring to downplay the danger of this story, Its just that I've been hearing about the "Big One" all of my life.

A top seismologist is warning that another major earthquake is in our future, a big one that could devastate Southern California, from the desert to the sea.

Save the monkeys, kill the doctors.

We need to watch these guys...
“I think the animal-rights movement has been way too slow in taking radical actions,” he says. “And they’ve been way too nice.”

They are starting to look a bit like the enemy
“I don’t think you’d have to kill too many [researchers]. I think for five lives, 10 lives, 15 human lives, we could save a million, 2 million, 10 million nonhuman lives.”

This foreigner got chased out of England, but somehow he gets to keep racking in the bucks working in Southern California.
Those remarks caused him to be banished from England, but in Southern California, he practices surgery at Riverside Community and Parkview Community hospitals in Riverside County, as well as Community Hospital and San Antonio Community Hospital in San Bernardino.

I would advise all meat eaters to avoid these hospitals!!!

Inside the Green House: Ah come on now

Man talk about just plain stupid... And these are supposed to be the smartest people on the planet, just ask Al Gore.
Unlike most apparently intractable problems, which have a tendency to go away when examined closely and analytically, the climate change predicament just seems to get bigger and scarier the more we learn about it.

So what is bigger and scarier?
The solid earth also became restless, with an increase in volcanic activity, earthquakes, giant submarine landslides and tsunamis. At the rate climate change is accelerating, there is every prospect that we will see a similar response from the planet, heralding not just a warmer future but also a fiery one.

Union dues as Union does

So here is about the dumbest ideal I've ever heard... Bloggers Union... Unions are supposed to be a way for workers to get improvements from their employers by uniting to pressure their bosses into concessions So how would they work for blogs? Bloggers work for themselves, they don't have bosses, who are they going to get these benefits from? They just pay dues and that's it?

"Bloggers are on our radar screen right now for approaching and recruiting into the union," said Gerry Colby, president of the National Writers Union, a local of the United Auto Workers. "We're trying to develop strategies to reach bloggers and encourage them to join."

China Gets to choose who comes back

A new law in China gives the government the power to force buddhist monks to seek government permission before they are reincarnated.
“The so-called reincarnated living Buddha without government approval is illegal and invalid,” according to the order, which comes into effect on September 1

So why have this law?
It is the latest in a series of measures by the Communist authorities to tighten their grip over Tibet.

And the communist work to kill faith in all of it's forms.
The boy chosen by the Dalai Lama has disappeared. The abbot who worked with the Dalai Lama was jailed and has since vanished.

A little misunderstanding

What was that about the virgins?

As al-Zarqawi lay bleeding and in pain, an Angel appeared.
Al-Zarqawi wept and said, "This is not what you promised me."

Of course I have my own take on this fable.
Martyrs reward

Update: Theo Sparks has moved and this link may be gone soon so I'll repost it in full before it's lost forever.
Hee hee...
Abu al-Zarqawi died, George Washington met him at the Pearly Gates.
He slapped him across the face and yelled, "How dare you try to destroy the nation I helped conceive!"

Patrick Henry approached, punched him in the nose and shouted, "You wanted
to end our liberties but you failed!"

James Madison followed, kicked him in the groin and said, "This is why I
allowed our government to provide for the common defense!"

Thomas Jefferson was next, beat al-Zarqawi with a long cane and snarled "It
was Evil men like you who inspired me to write the Declaration of Independence."

The beatings and thrashings continued as George Mason, James Monroe and 66 other early Americans unleashed their anger on the terrorist Leader.

As al-Zarqawi lay bleeding and in pain, an Angel appeared.
Al-Zarqawi wept and said, "This is not what you promised me."

The Angel replied, "I told you there would be 72 Virginians waiting for you
in Heaven. What did you think I said?"
