And he’s off
Ever wonder why Santa only works one day a year and flies around the world so quickly he hardly has time for milk and cookies?
It’s because Ms. Claus is waiting with a present of her own.

Liberals are wrong on Equality
But this isn’t Equality, it’s “Fairness” except it isn’t fair when you don’t pay to watch the game like everybody else did.
Lets take a look at it from a conservative's perspective -mine. If a conservative were to watch this game from the other side of the fence, He would most likely only need the one box because he would have his youngest sitting on his shoulder leaving the other two boxes for another family to use.
A conservative however would pay for his tickets and watch the game from the inside and because he paid for his tickets he helped to provide jobs for everybody involved, from the ticket sellers at Ticketmaster, to the ticket takers at the gates. He provided jobs for the ushers the peanuts salesman the ball players the coaches and the groundskeepers. The team was then able to convince the TV networks that they had an audience big enough to justify the broadcasting of the games so that thousands more families could watch the games from home rather then standing in the cold outside the ball filed meaning more boxes ready for the poorest families without TVs to use so their children could stand on them and see the game. That is how a Conservative (me) sees fairness.
Oh and one more thing, in the bottom of the 9th with the home team down 3 to 6 with the bases loaded two outs and a full count the unsteady stack of boxes gave way and the liberal kid broke his arm.
Note: While I use “Liberal” and “Conservative” in an all encompassing manner I fully understand each of us are different no matter what side of the fence we watch the game from. So while some conservatives may indeed use the boxes as pictured above on the left (but really, who would take their kids to the game and not make sure they can see it) so may some Liberals, and many Liberals will gladly pay to see the game from the inside while many conservatives are happy to sneak a peek over the fence.

Celebrity Obama
This President has done nothing but fluff interviews for the past year and today was no different.
We have in the news issues like…
1. The Arab spring has collapsed and Al Quaid is on the rise.
2. The economy is in disarray
3. Iran is still in pursuit of the Bomb
4. China is flexing it’s muscles, against Japan
5. The East Coast is devastated.
So what are the five thing Obama chose to talk about with US Weekly?
1. Michelle and I have officially (and famously) been on a Kiss Cam. But our first kiss was outside of a Baskin-Robbins ice cream shop in Chicago's Hyde Park.
2. I was once bear-hugged by a Republican pizza shop owner in Florida. I thought it was hilarious, but I'm not sure how the Secret Service felt about it.
3. Homeland is my favorite TV show.
4. Malia entered high school this year. I'm not looking forward to when she's old enough to go to prom.
5. I voted early in Chicago. No matter who you're voting for, there's no reason to stay home and not make your voice heard in this election. Find out how you can vote early at GottaVote.com.
In other words, in the midst of a global collapse of order and economic collapse at home Obama’s only interviews with the press have been to talks about his feelings. No wonder it’s listed under “Celebrity News”.
BTW: I knew all but one of these, and quite frankly I don’t care what TV show he watches.

I’m turning 50 today
Here is a list of some changes that have occurred in my lifetime.
Compact cars were only found in Europe and sub-compact cars only in the junkyard
A candy bar cost 10 cents and gas was 31.9 cents a gallon
You went out for pizza and had milk delivered.
A mobile phone was one with a long cord
A computer took up the whole room.
A TV was furniture not a wall hanging.
You had 5 channels to choose from on the TV, unless you had UHF, then you could have as many as ten or eleven.
If you missed your favorite TV show don’t worry they’ll show it again in the summer.
Surround sound took two radios tuned to the same station placed in opposite end of the room.

Joy gets it right in the wrong way
“Obama is being bashed for doing the View instead of meeting world leaders,” Behar, a co-host of The View and outspoken liberal comedian, tweeted. “Maybe he’d rather talk to me than Netanyahu. Ever think of that?” She also tweeted a photo from Obama’s appearance on the show, which she described as a “lovefest.”
Why Yes Joy we did think of that and that my dear is the problem.
When the leader of the free world has other leaders at his doorstep and many of those leaders are from parts of the world where our soldiers are dying.
He would rather meet with you.
When one leader stands on the podium of the UN General Council and warns of the impending demise of another member nation and is in active pursuit of the means to bring about that end, when the leader of the targeted nation pleads to meet with our President,
Our President would rather chat with Joy Byhar.
While Al Qaida bask in their recent victories
He would rather pose for pictures with the “Girls of The View”

She put on an absolutely incredible show yesterday in Seattle
Note: For those of you who noticed, I did in fact do this song on a Sunday a while back. This video is different and they took the old one down so I figured having Missy in town was as good a reason as any to repost it.

Earliest cave writings translated
These drawing discovered in a cave left 20,000 years ago near Seattle Washington have at last been translated.
“I live in a world that has been devastated by Global Warming, Floods from melting glaciers happen every year wiping out whole forest driving people from their homes killing the crops driving the game away and even changing the land scape. New lakes are being formed new rock formation are blocking familiar paths while people are being forced to walk for days just to find a safe place to live only to find climate change catching up with them once again. To save the world the chief wants to ban fire.”

Their Lives, their Fortunes and their Sacred Honor
Today we remember the men who risked all for the gift delivered to us on this day
a free nation like no other in the history of man kind.
Where we are Free to live our lives with Liberty of self
Where even in the hardest of time, we each strive in our Pursuit of Happiness.
Offering an example of what a Freeman can achieve when working together with other Freemen.
We did not earn this, we did not take it, like Grace, it is a gift from our Creator to each and every one of us.
As Americans we shine brightly, a beacon to the world proclaiming the Creator’s goodness.
We shine in the hope others will turn to our light and seek the warmth of Liberty.
We stand free today only because so many fell to preserve our Freedom,
We stand behind those who are ready to do so this very day.
May God Bless America and the men and women who defend her.

Have a Seat
Well sometimes the extent some governments will go to save us from ourselves just baffles the mind…
At a county council meeting Monday, the Left Party, or Vänsterpartiet, tabled a motion that would require office washrooms to be genderless with a sit-down-only requirement,
Yep they want to yank out all the urinals, replace them with stalls, and make you sit down to pea. Using the force of law….
For men who might refuse to comply, party representatives suggested a separate set of toilets clearly labeled for stand-up urination only
Um that’s a urinal, It doesn’t need to be labeled.
Why is this worthy of a new government mandate, who would even think this necessary?
Vänsterpartiet, known as a socialist and feminist organization, believes seated urination is healthier for men and more hygienic for both sexes.
Oh yea, I should have guessed. On the plus side it is for our own good…
Party speakers cited medical research they said shows men empty their bladders more efficiently while seated. Improved bladder evacuation reduces the risk for prostate problems,
I can’t believe that any government would what to get that involved in the lives of it’s people,
Viggo Hansen, a substitute council member who authored the motion, told Sveriges Television that that the move does not represent an attempt to meddle in the bathroom habits of citizens.
Oh well if you say so…
"That's not what we're doing. We want to give men the option of going into a clean toilet,"
Really, have you ever gone to a public restroom where men don’t have a urinal to use, it’s not pretty.

2 wolves and a sheep, expanded.
The old saying goes like this:
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what’s for dinner
I figure it needed a little expansion, just for fun
Dictatorship is 1 wolf deciding which sheep to have for dinner
Communism is 10 wolves telling 1000 sheep being dinner is good for them
Socialism is 10 wolves convincing 1000 sheep that being dinner is good for them
A Representative Republic is the sheep voting on whether to build a fence or hire more sheep dogs.

Update: Added the line about communism, it was meant to be there all along.

And the darkness comprehended it not
Around the world people remember those who fought to preserve our freedoms…
These words can be found on a shrine in Victoria Australia
LET ALL MEN KNOW THAT THIS IS HOLY GROUND. THIS SHRINE, ESTABLISHED IN THE HEARTS OF MEN AS ON THE SOLID EARTH, COMMEMORATES A PEOPLE’S FORTITUDE AND SACRIFICE. YE THEREFORE THAT COME AFTER, GIVE REMEMBRANCE.
Some would rather forget…

Simple
This shows the really big difference between these two guys.
George W. Bush speech after capture of Saddam Hussein:
The success of yesterday's mission is a tribute to our men and women now serving in Iraq . The operation was based on the superb work of intelligence analysts who found the Dictator’s footprints in a vast country. The operation was carried out with skill and precision by a brave fighting force. Our servicemen and women and our coalition allies have faced many dangers in the hunt for members of the fallen regime, and in their effort to bring hope and freedom to the Iraqi people. Their work continues, and so do the risks. Today, on behalf of the nation, I thank the members of our Armed Forces and I congratulate them.
Barack Hussein Obama speech, Sunday, May 1, 2011:
And so shortly after taking office, I directed Leon Panetta, the director of the CIA, to make the killing or capture of bin Laden the top priority of our war against al Qaeda, even as I continued our broader efforts to disrupt, dismantle, and defeat his network. Then, last August, after years of painstaking work by my intelligence community, I was briefed on a possible lead to bin Laden. It was far from certain, and it took many months to run this thread to ground. I met repeatedly with my national security team as we developed more information about the possibility that we had located bin Laden hiding within a compound deep inside of Pakistan . And finally, last week, I determined that I had enough intelligence to take action, and authorized an operation to get Osama bin Laden and bring him to justice. Today, at my direction, the United States launched a targeted operation against that compound in Abbottabad , Pakistan .

Happy Anniversary
I almost forgot today is my 5th year here at Blogspot, man but the time did fly.
a quick look at some of my past favorites
2007
There was a time when all my pictures were on film, I even dabbled in developing my own for a bit
The anti-war movement was a major focus of my blog, but not in the way you may think from a child of the 60s
2008
Three words; Mary, Katherine, Ham!
2009
Film was a bit spendy and I ran out of prints to post so I went digital.
I wasn’t very good at taking new pictures every single week but I still needed something to to post on my Sundays, and so I went to my second love, Music
2010
I had big dreams, just no one to grant them….
This was also the year I discovered Seattle Living Room Shows
2011
Did I mention I dream big?
2012
For the last few months I’ve turned off my TV and ended the source of much of my political material, but I do manage to find a few juicy bits.
even if I have to lift them from others… (with proper credit of course)
