Reset Texas

Someone at the State Department is overpaid and under qualified. Obama promised to restore  respect for our nation in the international community but after 100 days of blunders our new respect is accompanied with secret giggles. The latest gaff is from the State Department’s website listing Secretary Clinton’s international trips that include a trip to the Nation of Texas.

It seems this blunder was first noted in a snippet from a column in the Washington Post. It's about halfway down titled “WE'RE NOT, Y'ALL”

Update: Funny the Google cache page changed before my very eyes, I went looking for the page to see for myself, I saw Texas listed on Google Cache then I went to the real state department website to find they had already made the correction. When I went back to Google the Nation of Texas was gone.

Update:2 via HotAir.com The Nation of Texas is mentioned in the State Department’s official press release celebrating Obama’s 100 days. That release has not yet been fixed, but incase it is this is the relevant quote.

OVERALL DEPARTMENT POLICY ACCOMPLISHMENTS, REGULATORY INITIATIVES, AND INTERAGENCY EFFORTS

In the first 100 Days of the Obama Administration, Secretary Clinton and the State Department have made significant progress in advancing America’s national security goals and promoting America’s values around the world.

Secretary Clinton is already the most traveled Secretary of State in a new Administration. The Secretary’s trips have included her inaugural trip to Asia, the Middle East and Europe, Mexico and across the border to Texas, the Hague in the Netherlands, Europe with President Obama, Haiti and the Dominican Republic, the Summit of the Americas in Trinidad and Tobago with President Obama, and to Iraq and Kuwait.
