Iraq: Good News #7

With out the hard work of our guys day in and day out we would have never reached this point.

"We are talking about cease-fires, and maybe signing some things that say they won't conduct operations against the government of Iraq or against coalition forces.," Odierno told Pentagon reporters in a video conference from Baghdad."

And from the AP this story.
A battle raged in west Baghdad on Thursday after residents rose up against al-Qaida and called for U.S. military help to end random gunfire that forced people to huddle indoors and threats that kept students from final exams, a member of the district council said.

It is the first line in this report but then, to not let any good news go unanswered, AP reports on these storys before going on to how well the above action went for our side.
Elsewhere, a suicide bomber hit a police recruiting center in Fallujah, killing as many as 25 people, police said. The U.S. military said only one policeman was killed and eight were wounded.
The American military also reported the deaths of three more soldiers, two killed Wednesday in a roadside bombing in Baghdad and one who died of wounds from a roadside bomb attack northwest of the capital Tuesday. At least 122 American forces have died in May, the third-deadliest month of the Iraq conflict.

Now onto the rest of the GOOD NEWS...
the al-Qaida leader in the Amariyah district, known as Haji Hameed, was killed and 45 other fighters were detained.

Bill Clinton was right about one thing

And one thing only... Fleetwood Mac is the best band ever!!!

Iraq: Good News #6

More citizens stepping up and pointing out the bad guys. This time the Iraqi forces did all of the hard work.
BAGHDAD – Acting on a tip from local citizens, Iraqi Special Operations Forces detained a suspected terrorist cell leader during an early morning raid May 29.The alleged leader is accused of commanding a kidnapping and assassination cell that has been conducting extra judicial killings in the Baghdad area. The individual is also suspected of kidnapping a nuclear power scientist and murdering both the Director and Deputy of Citizenship and Naturalization.

It was a set up

First the whole thing was based on a lie... go to this page , it is the bases for the whole "Rudy Knew" lie. At the critical moment the recording skips, in other words they edited it to look like he knew. ITS A LIE....

This is the ambush where this lie was feed to the masses. This is Prison Planet braging about it!!!

Notice the collapsed part of this steel and concrete building

It's the Steel stupid!!!

Fire not melting steel.

Just because they are not 110 stories tall.

Update: this is a transcript of the ABC Peter Jennings interview from the first clip with the omitted section highlighted: Note this is not sourced by me so I can not guarantee the accuracy. I will post a new update when I can.

"I--I went down to the scene and we set up headquarters at 75 Barkley Street, which was right there with the police commissioner, the fire commissioner, the head of emergency management, and we were operating out of there when we were told that the World Trade Center was going to collapse. And it did collapse before we could actually get out of the building, so we were trapped in the building for 10, 15 minutes, and finally found an exit and got out, walked north, and took a lot of people with us."

Kinda changes the story, doesn't it

Update: This ambush was part of an organized campaign.

Update: Transcript Confirmed

Update: final thoughts, If you watch the video of Rudy with Peter Jennings on prison planet.com you will see that right when he says he was told it was going to collapse the tape cuts out... then it says 10,15 minutes, making it look like he was told well in advance of the collapse, however the part of the tape that was edited out reveals that Rudy had no time. The building collapsed before he could get out of the building and it took him and the others 10, 15 minutes to find a way out.

Update: I made the mistake of posting stuff here before I could verify it. It has sense proven to be untrue and I have removed it. Rudy's comments were about the impending collapse of the south tower, however the impression that this was proof that of an implosion is quite a leap. The warning came with almost no time to evacuate before the collapse, the Tower was showing signs of its pending collapse, and others did get warnings, again as the unaltered interview show Rudy and his team did not have enough warning to get out of the building... Now has to this far out lie that no building has ever collapsed due to fire... I expose this lie with my first picture. Only a fool would not see that fire caused this building to collapse. To say that it didn't just because part of it is still standing is foolishness. This building is only 30 stories high so let’s add another 80 to it a see what would happen... This building, in fact all other skyscrapers, was built differently. The WTC was unlike any other because it was not built in a box fashion to maximize floor space. Now let us just think about the ideal of placing enough explosives in the WTC to bring it down, how could this be done? If you watch the discovery channel you’ve seen the shows where guys spend weeks in an empty building to set up the explosives and pre-weaken the building. They place charges on every floor and take out any objects and parts of the building that may interfere with the collapse. It is simply impossible to do this in a fully occupied building. Period!

Enough of the negative

After the last two post I felt I needed to end on a more Positive note:

Not everyone celebrated #2

Despicable Memorial Day desecration near my home

And some of the flags were replaced.

Can I question their patriotism now?

Not everyone celebrated

Not everyone celebrated Memorial Day. Two young men did something that was a bit upsetting to most Americans.

ROCKLAND - In what one cop called a “disgraceful” show of disrespect, two 13-year-old boys were arrested yesterday after allegedly pelting eggs at the town’s Memorial Day ceremonies. They hit war veterans and members of the color guard who were marching in a parade, police said

However some Americans are upset by different behavior by children on Memorial Day. Watch the video one of the speakers talks about seeing a young boy waving a flag and how this was his start on the path to War.

Iraq: Good News #5

You hear about the IEDs that go off, but what you don't hear is that we are finding more and more of them before they go off because the Iraqis are helping up... did he just say helping us? Yes I did, ask CNN why they don't tell you that.
“We found these IEDs thanks to peace-loving Iraqis who are obviously tired
of the violence and danger in their neighborhoods,” said Col. Ricky D. Gibbs,
commander of the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division. “Their trust in
the Warrior Battalion to successfully act on the information given them is a
great news story in East Rashid and serves as a great example for others to
follow.”

Memorial Day

Remember Them

Ok I know I said;

I know I said I was taking the weekend off, but you guys just gotta see this story...
In the event that we do get a "single payer" "universal" Government Health Care system You will have to take good care to keep your breath fresh.

Dentists refuse to treat bad teeth

DENTISTS on the National Health Service are turning away people with bad teeth because they say they are only paid enough to treat patients with a good dental health record.

Friday, May 25, 2007

A warning

So many who want to impose a "single payer" "universal" Government Health Care system persistently say we should look to Europe and Canada and of all places Cuba. These fine examples of free health care for everyone should inspire us to do the same here... I hope not.

“GPs (general practitioners) have to take back responsibility for evening and weekend out-of-hours care. It is partly the fault of local organisers and partly that of national healthcare organisers for trying to implement massive changes without any test of the system. There needs to be a complete overhaul of the national system.”
The thing that they didn't fully explain was the cause of the infection that killed her.

She died after developing blood poisoning caused by an infection following an injection for hemorrhoids.
That should have been a simple procedure, that she was infected show an even broader failure then the story alludes to.

The future

Honey would you please change the wallpaper. Sure dear just hand me the remote.

"In the future, it could get wrapped around a lamppost or a person's wrist, even worn as clothing," said Sony spokesman Chisato Kitsukawa. "Perhaps it can be put up like wallpaper."

Iraq: Good News #4

While we are all hearing about todays sad lost of 6 of our guys today, no one has been reporting on the victory we had today.

Iraq: Good News #3

Reporters in the US try to show some small level of respect for our troops as individuals. However they work hard to paint the military with a broad negative brush. That brush from time to time runs dry, and when reporters let their guard down they cant help but see how amazing our guys are.

While I was at the Combined Press Information Center in Baghdad on my recent trip to Iraq, a pair of Spanish journalists--a newspaper reporter and a photojournalist--walked in, fresh from their embed with the 1-4 Cavalry of the First Infantry Division (the unit with which I embedded only days later). They had spent two weeks amongst the troops there, living and going on missions with them, including house-to-house searches and seizures, and their impressions of these soldiers were extremely clear.

"Absolutely amazing," said David Beriain, the reporter (and the one who spoke English), said of the young Cavalry troops. "In Spain, it is embarrassing--our soldiers are ashamed to be in the army. These young men--and they seem so young!--are so proud of what they do, and do it so well, even though it is dangerous and they could very easily be killed." Mr. Beriain explained that the company he had been embedded with had lost three men in the span of six days while he was there--one to a sniper and two to improvised explosive devices, both of which had blown armored Humvees into the air and flipped them onto their roofs. Despite this, he said, and despite some of the things they might have said in the heat of the moment after seeing another comrade die, the soldiers' resolve and morale was unshaken in the long term, and they remained committed to carrying out their mission to the best of their ability for the duration of their tours in Iraq.

Don't do what you're not planning on doing!

This is what is know as a preempitive warning... our perhaps a search for a justification?

Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Thursday warned Israel it would be uprooted if the Jewish state attacked Lebanon in the coming summer.
clip

There has been no indication so far of any eventual new Israeli-Lebanese conflict but Ahmadinejad's comments came as IDF troops arrested more than 30 senior Hamas members in the West Bank early Thursday, including a Cabinet minister, legislators and mayors, pressing forward with an offensive against the Islamic group.
This seems to me to be a set up. Expect Hezbollah to provoke Israel sometime this summer Iran has spent the last two years running around getting mutual defense deals signed and now we here that they are 1 year away from getting a nuke... they know Israel and the US will not allow them to go much further. They may be looking to throw the first punch.

Now this is just creepy

I found this link when I clicked on comment at SondraK.com, before I started this blog. Creepy was the first word to pop into my head.

So, being the perv I am, I thought I would share this with you, and in trying to find it again I found two more even creepier stories

one from Japan

Doll No Mori (Forest of Dolls) offers a 2,000 (16.46us) yen membership that lets you “use” your favorite doll for a certain amount of time (70 minutes to 24 hrs) with prices from 13,000 (107.01us) to 45,000 (370.45us) yen. Transportation is charged extra.

and another involving Paris.

Paris Hilton turned down the chance to have a sex doll made in her image as the “perverted” idea freaked her out, the socialite revealed.

The Jury is out... WAY OUT

A jury in England acquitted two admitted saboteurs. They had broken into a US air base in England with tools and paint to damage our planes and the runway. This was not in dispute in any way... This was an act of war by the way. They claimed they did so to stop the planes from...
Defending, Edward Rees said they carried out their protestsabotage because they believed the planes were being prepared to bomb Iraq indiscriminately with uranium and scatter bombs.

These particular bombs would inevitably have resulted in indiscriminate death of civilians.

"They believed that the extent of the damage to normal life was unreasonable,"

Just a note... there is no evidence that such weapons were ever used.

Iraq: Good News #2

We are winning!!!

This story has been building for sometime now, but no news network has explored how important it is to our victory in Iraq...

“The Al-Anbar province is in transition,” said Allen. U.S.Marine Corps Brig. Gen. John Allen “The recent improvement in the security situation across the province has created significant political and economic opportunities.”

Could it be any lower?

CBS expects to face some criticism from an advocacy group who says that former President Carter's book on Israel "Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid" is full of errors. What caught my eye on this story was the title

Carter Publisher May Be Accused Of Damaging CBS's Reputation

---snip---

A CBS subsidiary, Simon & Schuster, will be accused of damaging the reputation of its parent company by publishing Mr. Carter's book " Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid." Carol Greenwald, the treasurer of the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America, a CBS shareholder, plans to criticize the publisher at the meeting.

I wondered when I read this, could it be any lower, after the forged memo scandal.

Episode IV A New Hope

Well it's not quite Star Wars, but it is good news for me!! All I gotta do is move to England.

A sea of dark, handsome heads turn to ogle her. Jaws drop and good-looking men raise their eyebrows or move in to offer her a drink. But Selena walks on by. She only has eyes for one man. He’s waiting for her in a dark corner. He’s not one of the handsome guys in sharp suits. He’s not even ‘average’. He’s bald (like me) and podgy, (like me) with a pock-marked (not like me) face, and is easily the ugliest man in the room. She sidles into the chair next to him.

More on Venezuela

This is a 5 part documentary exploring the danger from Venezuela

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

Part 4

Part 5

Old twist for new propaganda

OK so I guess someone didn't tow the party line and it's time to pile on. So it's true that she has kind of gone over the deep end lately, you know blown up at a car a bit, funny hair cut, strange habits with the kids, but hey when your in the spotlight like she is this stuff could happen to anyone. However I don't care how bad she has been or what you think of her as a person, this is just piling on.

A topless Britney Spears has thanked fans for their support during "the trying time" that has included the end of her marriage, a bizarre public meltdown and a spell in rehab. In a message posted on her website, a photo of Spears wearing nothing but a pair of elbow-length white gloves appears alongside a message to fans who have included the troubled pop princess in their prayers.

The Photo referenced is at least 5 years old been seen by millions already and is not truly a topless photo. Darn it! So I can only wonder what it was she did to earn this treatment?

I've seen this before

This is a continuing story in Denmark where the social experiment has gone too far and the government is trying to regain some level of normality. It seems that some people think they have a right to live in other people's buildings just because they are not using them and when the building get condemned they riot!
Hundreds of youths clashed with police in the Danish capital Saturday, setting fire to street barricades to protest the demolition of a building in a hippie enclave.

Venezuela; Death of freedom

I've seen it at almost every anti-war rally I've attended in the last 2 years. A leftie finds something nice to say about the "brave man of the people who stands against US imperialism" Hugo Chavez. Well this brave man of the people is about to take control of the last free TV network in his little nation ending dissent. This was among the first moves the fascist Mussolini took after he gained power also.

The post for the quotes below was lost before I could link to it, sorry.
Found it, here.

The channel and its supporters argue Chavez is trying to silence criticism, while the government says it will be replaced by a public-service station and that freedom of expression is being respected.

William Lara, the information minister, said on Thursday that Venezuelans have "many reasons to celebrate the signal's return to popular sovereignty".

Another take on the takeovers

Mr Chavez is stepping up his campaign to turn Venezuela into a socialist state.

And we can't forget the "progress" made in Venezuela over the years.

Gen. Douglas MacArthur:

Once war has been forced upon us, there is no other alternative than to apply every available means to bring it to a swift end.

War’s very object is victory, not prolonged indecision.

In war there can be no substitute for victory.

For history teaches us with unmistakable emphasis that appeasement but begets new and bloodier war.

Like blackmail, it lays the basis for new and increasingly greater demands until, as in blackmail, violence becomes the only alternative.

“Why?” “Why,” my soldiers asked of me, “surrender military advantages to an enemy in the field?”

I could not answer.

The magnificence of the courage and fortitude of the Korean people defies description. They have chosen to risk death rather than slavery. Their last words to me were: “Don’t scuttle the Pacific.”

I am closing my 52 years of military service. When I joined the Army, even before the turn of the century, it was the fulfillment of all of my boyish hopes and dreams.

The world has turned over many times since I took the oath on the plain at West Point, and the hopes and dreams have long since vanished.

But I still remember the refrain of one of the most popular barrack ballads of that day which proclaimed most proudly that “old soldiers never die; they just fade away.”

Like the old soldier of that ballad, I now close my military career and just fade away, an old soldier who tried to do his duty as God gave him the light to see that duty.

Good Bye.

End times are here

One of the end time prophecies predicts a worldwide persecution of the Church. I have seen this first hand as I often face verbal abuse about what people perceive to be my faith (they assume they know but they don’t know me) however with the death of Rev. Jerry Falwell I think its reached new heightslows.

here too

and here

The other side of the scoreboard

Here is something you don't see on the news. This is how our side is doing in the war compared to just how the bad guys are doing.

Note: The terrorist count is from Jan 2006 in Iraq and Afghanistan, our count is for the whole of the Iraq war march 2003, Sorry but that's how I found the two counts.

The Bad Guys (Terrorists)

The Good Guys (Coalition)

3996

3397

Note: Coalition forces include accidental deaths. Terrorist count does not.

I don't go for strikes but...

In this case I think it is needed. When the mayor joins a protest and fails to support his police officers. It's time for the police to act. The LA mayor is using this issue for political points.

fact: police were attacked by protesters, 8 officers were injured before the police took action.

Eight officers suffered minor injuries, including one officer who was pushed from his motorcycle,

fact: police orders to break up the protest were ignored.
"Our officers gave a legal dispersal order and were met with violence,"

fact: police did not force troublemakers into the crowd so they could have more "targets".

Television footage shows a crowd, apparently prodded by police, sweeping through a live broadcast by a Telemundo reporter, injuring some employees of the Spanish-language station.
The mayor needs to stop this PC war on the good guys and focus on finding a way to rebuild trust with his officers before he finds he has no operating police force.

It couldn't go on forever.

Israel will respond in a "harsh and severe" manner to the barrage of Kassam attacks on Sderot, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert decided Wednesday, essentially putting an end to Israel's policy of restraint that has been in effect for more than six months.

Townsend said: "There is a widespread belief in scientific literature that male and female chimpanzees differ greatly in their nature.

"It's true that males are much more often seen to engage in extreme physical violence than females, and this has led to the notion of violent and demonic males in contrast to quite peaceful females. However, our research shows that, under the right socio-ecological circumstances, these chimp gender stereotypes collapse completely. If their resources are under threat, females can become just as violently aggressive as males."

Scott Ritter gets mean

Former wepons inspector Scott Ritter writes an Op-ed that rips our troops with the most vile acustions and those of us who support them...And to show how the left finds any excuse to attack our efforts in the War on Terror, his op-ed was in response to a editoral by Alan Dershowitz about of all things Holocaust deniers.

The Geneva Conventions states

I posted this on my gwillie.com E-George Update page, It's archived now, anyway I am reposting this in light of recent news from Iraq. It is good to be reminded that our guys are much better than the scumbags we fight. Even though we don't have to be.

Our Strength is our regard for life, the light we share freely that will shine through in the end.
Our Hope lies in the opportunity that will come to the children of our enemies as the freedoms we hold dear come to them.
Our Victory will come when the lies of our enemy are exposed by the light of truth.

The Geneva Conventions states
That the relationship between the "High Contracting Parties" (that’s us) and a non-signatory (that’s them), the party will remain bound until the non-signatory no longer acts under the strictures of the convention.
Something like this.
PFC Thomas Lowell Tucker and PFC Kristian Menchaca were ambushed and murdered
. Their bodies mutilated and boobied trapped, all in clear violation of Geneva. The terrorist claim this was in retaliation for a rape and murder allegedly committed by members of they’re unit. This is not true because the crime was unknown until long after these war crimes against our soldiers. This is just 1 example of many.
I thank God we have been able to keep our brave soldiers out of enemy hands.

My response to a Kos post full of hate

A while back the Daily Kos had a post titled Why I hate America he quotes one of the witnesses from the House committee on un-American activities.

I like how Paul Robeson answered that question before the House Un-American Activities Committee in 1956: "My father was a slave and my people died to build this country, and I'm going to stay right here and have a part of it, just like you. And no fascist-minded people like you will drive me from it. Is that clear?"

Paul Robeson was a name I had not heard so I looked him up found he was a member of the Communist Party USA. He was an apologist for Stalin’s mass-murdering tyranny, and a recipient of the Lenin Prize for his service to the Soviet cause.

But all this is just background to how I found this little tidbit of communist truth that makes it an imperative that the Communist Party be thrown onto the trash heap as soon as possible.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

We believe and advocate that a socialist society in our country will guarantee all the liberties defined in the Bill of Rights but never fully realized. These include the right of people to express themselves fully and freely through organizations of their choice and competing candidates who respect and are guided by the concept of building socialism.

I did a little checking on the Commie Party, USA. Among all the other hogwash of the “joys of socialism” the above statement shows the true nature of the movement. Please note the “freedom” to choose competing candidates “who respect and are guided by the concept of building socialism”. I have always known that Communism (even under the guise of Socialism) can not tolerate dissent, and even in their public statements they can’t hide it.

And I have to wonder what kind of "organizations of their choice" they will allow; something tells me my church will not be among them.

Freedom fights on

In the spirit of the long forgotten freedom gathering at Tiananmen Square, crushed by the full force of China's communist military, some brave resistance fighter(s) chucked a burning object at the huge portrait of the Mass murder Mao Zedong. The portrait was damaged and police evacuated the square while searching for the brave hero(s) of freedom. The picture will be replaced tonight and security will be increased. An extra death squad has been dispatched.

A vandal damaged the giant portrait of China's late Chairman Mao Zedong that hangs over the Forbidden City on Saturday, prompting police to clear the area and adjacent Tiananmen Square, witnesses said.

Remember the Cultural Revolution?
Despite leading the country in a series of violent political movements that saw millions purged or killed and left the economy moribund, Mao is still revered by many in China and is seen as a symbol of its strength and unity.

Never forget the fight goes on!

When blowing yourself up is not enough

Singing praises to Allah on myspace!!!

Before you hate me

I want you to think of anyone you know who's been thru this and then judge for yourself whether this report is fact or propaganda.

I am not going to say what this post is about because it would just be too controversial. This is the far lefts most important issue. The one thing sure to get me noticed on this blog, not in a good way, by the far left.

These are the facts they hide from us to keep their ideals alive. They attack anyone who dares to point out what most of us would know is true just by using common sense. They want to hide the risk from the people they profit from and the people the exploit. When they began they followed an idealism that has now been so completely debunked we had a war to end it, eugenics. Yet even though they deny they seek this end they offer their services mostly to the poor and to minorities with 73% of their offices being in neighborhoods where they can reach both. They fight to have access to our children, to hide what they do from their parents. They claim they only wish to protect them from potential abuse yet they do not report the worst kind of abuse over and over, the sexual exploitation of these young children by older men. They control what you see and hear about this subject in the media, they brand any dissent with hateful rhetoric. When you challenge them you challenge the “very ideals of human rights”. They have gained power in this nation, in fact, the world. They gained power over governments using fear and intimidation. They gained control of one party and used the media to silence the other. They claim one side votes based only on this issue. The famous 1 issue voter, yet when you look at the candidates only one party has people running on both sides of this issue, and it’s not theirs. Only one party allows speakers at their convention to speak who hold a different view on this issue, and it’s not theirs. Only one party debates this issue year after year, and it’s not theirs. For them the issue is settled, no need to think of the pain that has affected millions. No need to debate at all, in fact debate is the last thing they want, the status quo is just what they want and debate may expose the true cost they have worked so hard to hide. They could not argue for the status quo if the true cost were known.

How others think of me

I found this story on a far left blog. I thought it showed perfectly why I face so much hate at anti-war protests. It’s not just that I am there presenting another view of the war they oppose so strongly, it’s that I am the most full and extreme example of racism and hate on the planet today. I find these very words shouted at me every time I face the far left, so while I know this story is not about me, it shows the attitude of so many on the far left who choose hate over debate

The lie that got two men put in jail

This is the story of a liar who smuggled drugs into the US and got shot in the process. The true story has I know it is that he was caught, ran back to the border, was chased by agents was almost caught, one agent was on the ground the other then fired on the smuggler the smuggler kept running and got away. The agents then picked up all the shells and did not report the shooting. (that is a crime.) Later the smuggler was granted immunity to testify. He was then arrested smuggling again and was released under the same immunity.
Now the El Paso Times has his view.

He takes great offense at being referred to as a "drug smuggler," he said, because he only did it once.

Allow me to offend the "drug smuggler" He got busted again while the trial was on going so I'm calling BS!!!

Now keep an eye on this
Aldrete Davila's urethra was shattered by the bullet two years ago, and he still lives with a rubber tube sticking out of his belly button that connects his bladder to a plastic bag.
--snip--
Agent Compean shot at him several times and Agent Ramos, once, hitting him.
--snip--
Getting the bullet removed from his thigh in 2005 was his only motivation for testifying against the agents, he said.

I didn't know your urethra was in your thigh!

What they don't mention is that he fled in another truck waiting inside Mexico. The injuries he is claiming would not allow him to flee any further.

Now, getting some money to rebuild his urethra is the only reason he filed a multi million lawsuit against the U.S. federal government, he said. Aldrete Davila said several Mexican hospitals have asked him for at least $30,000

A multi million dollar lawsuit for a $30,000 operation. Well I guess the extra money will put his urethra back where it belongs?

"Everybody hates me there (in America)," he said.

Well he's not dumb.

Sobe H2O

Ok so I just watched a commercial for Sobe's new product. It's a fine commercial just one thing, they claim it's full of anti-oxidants, but isn't water 1/3 oxygen?

A lie in the mainstream.

A new Newsweek poll has the presidents approval down to 29% +or– 7%. That is compared to the normal 3 to 4% margin of error for most polls, Why is this so high? Because they over sampled democrats. This distorted number is now in the mainstream and the story is a lie.

The NEWSWEEK Poll was conducted by Princeton Survey Research Associates International May 2-3. Telephone interviews were conducted with 1,001 adults, age 18 and older; the overall margin of error is plus or minus 4 percentage points. The margin of error for questions asked only of Democrats and Democratic leaners is plus or minus 7 percentage points; for Republicans and GOP leaners, 8 percentage points.

Note: I’ve always wondered how asking 1000 people in a nation of 300,000,000 can tell you anything important. I know they have a math formula for that but it would only take 1 bad apple to twist this how they want it, and it looks like they did just that. Here are some more numbers:

Yes, this would be a devastating poll, if one could rely on it. It contradicts nearly every other poll, which has consistently shown Giuliani beating Obama, Clinton, and Edwards. How could Newsweek get the results they have published?

Well, for one thing, it helps when you poll 50% more Democrats than Republicans. If one reads the actual poll results all the way to the end, the penultimate question shows that the sample has 24% Republicans to 36% Democrats. Compare that to the information given by Newsweek's NBC partners in February, which showed that party affiliation had shifted from a difference of less than a percentage point to a gap of 3.9 points -- 34.3% to 30.4%, with 33.9% independents.

I took Saturday off.

I didn't post on Saturday, Just didn't have much to say. I have decided that this bloging is good for me. It forces me to practice my spelling, (well at least practice using my spell checker) and it forces me to keep informed so i can post good post. :) Not to mention the discipline involved in writing at least 1 post every day.

Inside the Green House: Extent of deception

Here is a story from Reuters on the 3rd IPCC report on global warming. I think it shows the extent of deception on the issue of climate change. I'll point them out as we go.

Humans need to make sweeping cuts in greenhouse gas emissions over the next50 years to keep global warming in check, but it need only cost a tiny fraction of world economic output, a major U.N. climate report said on Friday.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), in the third of a series of reports, said keeping the rise in temperatures to within 2 degrees Celsius would cost only 0.12 percent of annual gross domestic product.

Note the cost is only 0.12% of GDP, this is to keep the change at only 2 degrees, and the implication is that it will be much more if we don't pay up now.

--Now I cut this part it's just some words from a guy on the panel from Greenpeace.--

To keep within the 2-degree threshold that scientists and the European Union say is needed to stave off disastrous changes to the world's climate, emissions of carbon dioxide needed to drop between 50 and 85 percent by 2050, the report said.

However, technological advances -- particularly in producing and using energy more efficiently -- meant such targets were within reach, the report said.

Note we need to drop emissions by 50 to 85% also note that they acknowledge that we are already making progress in that direction.

It highlighted the use of nuclear, solar and wind power, more
energy-efficient buildings and lighting, as well as capturing and storing carbon dioxide spewed from coal-fired power stations and oil and gas rigs.

Just try to build a new nuclear plant, and how many acres of land are environmentalist will to give up to fields of solar panels, and senator. Kennedy will never let a wind power farm ruin his view.

The panel also said for the first time that lifestyle changes could help fight global warming. It gave no examples, but IPCC chairman Rajendra Pachauri said his personal suggestions included turning down the thermostat and eating less red meat, which could cut animal methane emissions. "These are lifestyle measures but you are not going to give up anything and you might gain," he told a news conference.

Except a good steak.

Here’s the kicker...

China wanted the IPCC report to exclude language which would promote stabilizing emissions near current levels, in part because of the limited economic studies available. The steeper the emissions cuts, the more costly to the global economy, the report said. The cost of limiting greenhouse gases in 2030 to stabilization" levels of between 445 and 710 ppm (parts per million)CO2-equivalent ranges from a 3 percent decrease of global GDP to a small increase, it said.

Now remember when they said that it would only cost 0.12% of GDP now it 3%?

However, regional costs might differ significantly from global averages, it added. Greenhouse gas concentrations are now at about 430 ppm CO2-equivalent.

Wait Current levels are lower then the goals for 30 years from now? Why is it then that we have to reduce emissions by more than 50%?

Yes Harry Lets leave Iraq...

To this...

The plot at the Huda Girls' school in Tarmiya was a "sophisticated and
premeditated attempt to inflict massive casualties on our most innocent
victims," military spokesman Maj. Gen. William Caldwell said.

The democrats want us to leave. Our troops want to save these people from this sort of evil.

A Rush-ism

One of the things Rush Limbaugh talks about is the way libs try to humanize SUVs in their pursuit to have them banned. Any accident involving an SUV it is the SUV that did it, not the driver.

Can you tell a lie you never told?

The far left has claimed over and over that the President proclaimed Mission Accomplished on board the USS Abraham Lincoln 4 years ago. This has been so pervasive that it has been accepted as fact almost universally. Well the truth is Bush never said that in fact, he made it clear that we still had a long way to. This is proof that if you repeat a lie often enough it becomes truth.

The new conspiracy theory

Immigration and refugees

This is a subject I don’t like to talk about a lot because the other side has captured the language on this. When you try to offer solutions other then the ones the left want, i.e. Full amnesty of all illegal emigrants, you are a racist. If you call for enforcing the law you’re a racist. If you call for securing the border you’re a racist. If you call for law enforcement to check on the immigration status of people they arrest for crimes you’re a racist. The United States of America allows more legal emigrants than any other nation. Every illegal emigrant takes a slot that is no longer available for legal emigrants. Every employer who knowingly hires an illegal emigrant steals from every tax payer. That employer also steals from his employee by under paying him. He undercuts his competition with cheaper labor cost. He most likely is not paying taxes or under reporting them. This is a form of slavery, one that is embraced by the far left as it fits the agenda of undermining the USA.

So my easy answer is the full enforcement of existing laws. This was promised to us in the 80s after the Reagan amnesty plan but it blocked by forces on both side of the aisle. This bipartisan betrayal has made it all but imposable to enforce the existing laws. About 10% of the population of Mexico now lives at least part time in the USA. When 10% of your population flees to a neighboring nation for economic relief, it is not an emigration problem, it is a refuge problem. I propose that we change the language on this issue and declare it a refugee problem. This opens the door for a form of temporary legalization for illegal emigrants. As refugees we can seek UN aid. We can put international pressure on Mexico to resolve its economic disaster its corruption and its drug crime culture.

For years the far left has attacked any attempts to bring sanity to the emigration issue. The right has not wanted to risk the economy by removing the source of cheep labor. Now that the issue has reached a critical mass, we have millions of families that are “mixed paper” parents who are illegal and children who are citizens. This has turned the issue of enforcing the law into an emotional one, filling the left’s armory of rhetoric allowing them to demonize anyone who challenges their emigration agenda. While the right uses the risk to the economy to argue largely for the status quo.

So although my suggestion is drastic I see it as the only way to truly address the issue with the urgency it deserves. As long as the refugees obey the law and the international community works toward resolving the crisis in Mexico. We can work to help our neighbors to the south live a better life both here and at home.

Your Fired

There's not much I can add to this.

Neighbors watched in horror as Upendra Yadav was dragged out of his house in Jharkhand state on Friday by his angry employer. The employer's father and
brother held Yadav down before he was beheaded with a sword, police said.

I told you but I was wrong.

When I wrote my post about the “fund the retreat bill” I predicted that our enemy’s may try to weaken the Presidents hand in the political fight over the bill... Well today is likely the day that the veto will comedown and I can not find any news of such attempts. I have a few hours yet so maybe I have a chance, but remember I only said that they may try.

I also believe that our enemies will, sometime over the weekend, offer a false
truce to add pressure on the President to sign the bill.

So anyway in my attempts to find proof I was right I found evidence that the lefties are not reporting the whole story of the Presidents diplomatic efforts in the Middle East. Here is a well sourced story pointing to our efforts to aid in a peaceful transfer of power in Lebanon
